Licensed Independent Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor

We are currently looking for a qualified individual who has experience in mental health counseling and is interested in joining an established psychiatric practice as a contracted employee (1099). This position offers flexible scheduling and self-determined hours. Scheduling of clients, claims and billing services are provided by the office staff. Additionally, essential office supplies are provided.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited program and current unrestricted licensure in the state of Alabama. LCSW, LPC or LMFT preferred.

• Must be eligible for credentialing with insurance companies for claims and reimbursements. 

• Preferred experience working with various clinical presentations.

• Preferred experience working with children, adolescents or adults, but not required.

• Responsibilities: 

• Conduct assessments, individual therapy, family therapy and patient education in office or virtually.

• Utilize evidenced based treatment techniques and theoretical approaches when providing care to mental health patients.

• Coordinate and maintain timely and efficient documentation, seek appropriate referrals and collaborate with additional providers as needed.

• Follow all HIPAA compliance guidelines regarding patient confidentiality. 

• Follow all ethical guidelines according to individual licensing board.

• Maintain licensure and liability/malpractice insurance requirements for private practice services.

• Adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
